We are delighted to invite you to the next in our series of Contemporary FD Bitesized webinars, jointly hosted with our strategic partners Evelyn Partners (formerly Tilney Smith & Williamson). These are designed to supplement our live annual Contemporary FD Summit, scheduled for September 2023, where the CFOs and FDs of the country’s most exciting, innovative, and ambitious companies come together to share ideas, insights and advice.

Hard as it may seem to imagine, only just over a year ago predictions were for a firm post COVID boost in the economy, however the current economic landscape continues to be unpredictable. So, what must a shrewd CFO do to protect against unpredictability? We decided to bring an experienced panel together to share their insight, knowledge, and real-life experiences, looking at a suggested set of ‘rules’ to follow. In conversation with Sarah Hunt Founder and CEO of EquityFD will be:

Maeve Hurley – an experienced Finance and Operations Executive with a history in the tech sector, SaaS businesses, Enterprise Software, E-commerce. Most recently CFO of VC backed Glofox, CRM platform for gyms which has sold to a US fitness tech solutions business;

Frank Bandura – 30 years of experience as CFO / FD in the restaurant, hospitality, and leisure sectors, 17 of those at Carluccio’s as well as previous CFO at Gaucho. Currently at Gusto;

Derek Playford – most recently CFO at the Aspers Casino Group. Prior to this Derek held other gambling sector roles at Gala Coral as Finance Director in Retail Betting and Bingo. Elsewhere, Derek has also helped drive value growth in the rapidly expanding fintech sector.

Also joining us from Evelyn Partners will be Emily Berry, Associate Director in their Business Tax Team, who will be sharing some of the latest from her client base of fast-growth, scale-up businesses.
